When the babies turned one we decided to hire someone to take the babies and Wesley's pictures. The day of the pictures Evan had a 103 temperature but we decided not to cancel the pictures. Wesley was so excited to go have his picture taken and did a great job for the photographer. Here are are a few pictures from their photo shoot! Enjoy

T-Ball
This summer we signed Wesley up for T Ball and gave soccer a break. This was his coach's first year to coach. Wesley really loved T ball and got better and better each game. We would practice hitting the ball and catching the ball at night.

Wesley got the metal for the first game. He was very proud of himself.

Since it was a summer session they did not take pictures so after the game everyone was gathered up and got a picture. We can't wait to sign Wesley up for another session in the Fall and watch how he progresses.
One Year Old!!!
One year ago on June 7th we got a call at 9 pm from my dr saying I would be induced on June 8th at 8:00 am. This was a huge shock to both Mark and myself. We didn't know what to expect but were ready to meet the twins. The day progressed very slowly until the afternoon then everything progressed quickly. At 5:52 our lives changed; we went from a family of 3 to a family of 5. This past year has been easy and hard. The twins were very good babies and as they are getting older and moving around more they get in each others way and don't care to share things as easily any more. They love to watch what their big brother is doing and will be running around with him shortly. On June 8th Evan and Luke turned one year old.
We turned their carseats around when they turned one and they love to look out the windows and watch the cars drive by.
Wesley loves to color and draw. He has wanted them to color with him for a while now, so we bought them some special crayons. Wesley thought it was very fun coloring with them on their page. They loved to eat them so we couldn't color for long.
When they turned one we started doing a few snacks a week in the snack buckets. Very fun for them to do all by themselves. Also very handy when we are grocery shopping or out running errands.
Luke and Evan's first time in a shopping cart grocery shopping. I was able to get all my groceries this time.
We got out the pool one afternoon for the kids to play in. Wesley was so excited about this. With all three kids in the pool there wasn't much room for them to play around.
Here are a few things about Luke this month:
*top right tooth is coming in
*claps
*waves hi and bye
*says mama, dada, mooo, signs more
*cruise along furniture and walls
*love to knock down towers of blocks or boxes when they are built
*took his first step on June 21st
*brush his hair
* loves to play in the tunnel
* loves to swing
Here are a few things about Evan this month:
*top left tooth is coming in
*claps
*waves hi and bye
*says mama, dada, moo and signs more
*cruise along the furniture and walls
*brush hair
*stands by himself
*points at things
*blow on food when it is hot
*loves to swing
*Evan blew kisses on June 28th when going to take a bath.
When the babies turned eleven months we started to take them off of formula and introduce whole milk to them. They didn't seem to care and were off of formula and bottles by 11 1/2 months.

One Year Party
It possible couldn't be a year already? On June 7th we celebrated the babies first birthday with a party for just a few friends and family. We got the boys a playhouse for their birthday that has a grill and water feature. They love it so far.
Papaw and Mema came to visit from Midland.
Grant, Charlotte and Wesley drew a picture to hang on the mantle for the babies party.
We served chicken nuggets, cubed cheese, fruit and Cheetos for lunch.
All the big kids eating lunch.
Evan and Luke's smash cake.
Present time!!! They really had no idea what was going on but sure loved all the gifts once they were out of the package.
The babies didn't dig into their cakes like we thought. They had pictures the weekend before and loved their cake but today they didn't care for them.
Evan was a little overwhelmed with everyone watching him and laughing.
Luke on the other hand loved the attention.

Since Wesley was one or two we have let a balloon go at the end of the party with a note that has Mark's name and email address and the babies name and birthday year. We have yet to receive an email back that someone found the balloon. This year we finally received an email!!
The balloon had traveled 193 miles in just a few hours. We never heard from anyone regarding Luke's balloon. We can't wait to see what this year holds for our family.Happy Birthday Evan!... As you can see, your balloon found it's way to the top of my chicken pen today! Lol... Which is crazy 'cause I had been outside mowing all evening in plain site of the pen and it wasn't there. Then as I was walking by right before dark, there it was.
My name is Buddy. I live on a small farm north of Mulberry, Arkansas with 2 labs named Holly and Sonny, and an old junkyard dog named Fritz.
I work for Baldor in Fort Smith and, when life will let me, I'm a part-time singer/songwriter.
Please feel free to visit either of my websites.

I'm curious just how far, and for how long that balloon traveled...
Wishing you and Evan many more Happy Birthdays to come...

End of School program
This year Wesley attended our neighborhood school; Cross Timbers Elementary in their pre-k program. His teachers were Mrs. Hail and Mrs. Joni. He has learned a lot this year and gained several good friends. They had a pre-k graduation a few days before school let out for summer. They walked in the classroom from playing outside and sang a few songs for the parents.
Here is Wesley walking to get his "diploma"

At the end the kids were able to toss their hats in the air.
