I just had to share this. On Sunday night Mark was spending time with Wesley feeding him and Wesley made a special present for him. Mark told me that I would have to change his diaper, I told him no he was going to need to do it. For those of you who don't know Mark has a bad gag reflux when it comes to certain smells. Thanks to his coworkers at HighMount, Mark had the tools needed to get the job done.

Play time

Everyday Wes and I play on his mat after he finishes eatting. He now moves his arms and legs and talks or coo's at you. His mat plays music and he looks up to a sun that flashes different colors at him. There is also a mirror attached that he will sit and look at. Enjoy!!

Sorry I can not turn the video so you will have to turn your head.

One Month!!

Each month we will take a picture of Wes by his mouse to show his growth.

Wow, this has been a crazy month. We can't believe Wesley is already one month old. He changes daily. He is awake more throughout the day and loves to lay on his mat and play. He is beginning to coo at Mark and I when we talk to him. He has great head control and he likes to push off of you with his feet. He is not very fond of tummy time but I can tell that it is helps his neck get stronger.
We do not go back to the dr until Wesley is two months old, but I can tell you that he is gaining weight. He now eats four oz. every three hours and does not miss a meal (just like his mom and dad).
Wesley likes to play in the mornings because that is when he is awake the most. He is now beginning to like bath time. Thank goodness because the first few times he did not like bath time.
Max does really well with him. He will check on him when he is on the floor and come get us if he is crying. I use to be the first person Max would find when we returned home, but now he searches for Wesley.
I went to the dr. last week and she released me from taking my blood pressure medicine and told me that I still have to check it everyday. I am also supposed to just take it easy for a while.

3 1/2 weeks

On Saturday afternoon Mark, Wesley and I went to have our picture taken. Wesley was asleep when we arrived and thought that he should sleep throughout the pictures. He did not begin to get mad until the very end, when the photographer thought that he should be able to hold his head up in some of the positions. I think that the pictures turned out great for him being only 3 1/2 weeks.

two week update

Mark, Wesley and I went to the pediatrician this morning for Wesley's two week appointment. The dr was very pleased with his growth. When he was born he was 19 3/4 inches and weighed 7 lbs. 15 oz. now he is 22 inches long and weighs 8 lbs. 5 1/4 oz. The dr said that she did not want to see him back until he was two months old!!
Today is Mark's first day back to work after being off for a while. Wesley and I plan on taking it easy. I am still taking medicine for my blood pressure and measuring it twice a day. Hopefully after my appointment next week I will be able to drive and get off of the meds.

Mark cut himself out of the picture.
Take two.... now Wesley is not looking.
This is mom consoling Wesley after getting his heel pricked. ouch!
