First bikeride

We finally bought a chair for Wesley to sit in while we ride our bikes. We weren't sure what he would think of it or how he would react. We were sure that he would have a fit and sure enough he lost it when Mark place him in his seat. After we got him strapped in Mark put his hat on and he was screaming even louder. As soon as he got it buckled I took off and Wesley was absolutely fine, he loved it. We rode for about 30 minutes and he did great.

Hi Daddy.

Watermelon

One of Wesley's favorite fruits is watermelon. We bought a watermelon this weekend and I left some on the rhine. He loved it and he wouldn't give it to anyone.

4th of July 2010

We had a very wet July 4th this year, it rained the majority of the weekend but it didn't stop us from having fun. Katie's parents came in town to visit. We woke up on Saturday and got ready for the parade. We didn't go to Edmond's parade last year so we didn't know what to expect. We arrived about 20 minutes early and it was packed. Two hours later the parade was over, it was the longest parade we have ever watched.
Ready for the parade
Wesley ended up falling asleep after about an hour of watching the parade. Thank goodness the firetrucks were at the beginning of the parade.

Christy made a patriotic cake for us to enjoy. It was very good. Thanks Christy.

Everyone is playing with Wesley in the livingroom after returning from the parade and lunch.
Mark is showing Wesley how to hold the sparkler.

Wesley loved the sparklers.

Mark bought a few firecrackers to set off. He wanted to set a few off before Wesley went to sleep, but Wes wanted nothing to do with them.
When we woke up this morning it was raining so of course a little boy must play in the mud. At first he was stomping in the mud then decided that he needed to sit down and kick it.

Our neighborhood has a wonderful weekend long Independence day celebration. Starting Saturday they start off having a parade for the kids to show off their bikes which is followed by games for the kids to enjoy. On Sunday they had a lawn mower race and a BBQ with fireworks that follow. We had the best seat in the neighborhood in our backyard.
