Baby furniture assembly

After Mark, Joe and Matt finished installing the beadboard they put the babies furniture together. The baby bed was extremly easy to assemble. We now have to figure out where we want it to be placed in the room. We can't wait until we have our bundle of joy to sleep in the bed.

Babies room is under construction!!!

Maybe we worked him to hard?
Finished room

Max is supervising our work.

Mark is telling his dad how to install a fan.

Mark is preparing the walls and taking off the baseboards.

Here is a picture of the room before it became a construction zone.

Wow what a weekend!! Mark, Joe (Mark's dad) and I put up beadboard in the babies room. This was a very exciting weekend for Mark and I. Mark and Joe began on Friday night nailing in the baseboard and installing a fan. On Saturday we got up had breakfast and began to work. It was not a very hard task to accomplish, thank goodness! We had the beadboard up by lunch and then we nailed in the chair railing. Matt (Mark's brother in law) came and helped shortly after lunch. Thanks Joe and Matt we appreciate your help.

Missouri

Max has a boo boo from playing at doggy day out. They are not sure what it is from, but I think it is from him going in and out of the doggy door with excitement.

Max was given a present from Christy, an Oklahoma State University bandana. Max wanted to wear it while he napped from a very long exhausting weekend at Doggy day camp.

My dad has been boasting that he is the Mexican Train winner, so we decided to see if this was still true. This is a very long game to play so we started at about 8:30 and did not finish until around 11:00. The reason being is that Christy and my dad had very close scores and Christy was not giving up. So now Christy is the Mexican Train winner.

Christy, mom and I sat on the bench in the park to watch the fire works. You would not think that you would need a blanket to watch fireworks on the 4th of July, but we did. We had a perfect seat, we could see the fireworks display on the lake and several places surrounding us.
This is the WWI Museum. You could ride in an elevator to the top of the tall portion.

This is inside the Museum we went to look at the Bodies Revealed.

Mark and I went to Missouri over the holiday weekend to see my brother, Chad. We meet my parents and Chad's girlfriend Christy. On July 4th we went to the Missouri River where they had a festival along the river. You could walk along the river and read the history on plaques. After browsing the festival we went to the Isle of Capri (casino) and gambled a while. Mark and Kay were the only ones who won anything. We went home and cooked steaks after gambling. On Saturday we went to the museum to see Bodies Revealed. This was very interesting. The museum was downtown and had several old building surrounding it. Once we were finished with the museum we went and ate lunch at the one of the best barbque joints in Kansas City (according to the internet). We had to wait outside the door for at least 30 minutes. It was extremely good, so if you are ever in Kansas City you need to stop by and try it. We went to visit the zoo after lunch. We are glad that we got to get together and spend the 4th at Chad's.
