Storybook Forest

We headed to StoryBook Forest again this year. My Mom was in town so we took advantage of having another set of hands.  In order to not wait in the long car line to get in you have to arrive early, so we arrived 20 minutes early and chased the kids around.
It was just about time for the gates to open so we decided to take a family pictures.  They babies didn't want anything to do with that.
Wesley chose to be Darth Vader this year.
 Luke was Woody.
 Evan was Buzz Lightyear.
Woody and Buzz collecting their candy.
Luke realized that his candy bucket had yummy treats inside.  The babies walked for a while but shortly after they wanted to walk their own way.  We found yummy suckers for them to eat so we could carry them without a fight.

 Darth Vader and Humpty Dumpty

When you have walk through and trick or treat with the story book characters you can head out for a hay ride and play games.  Everyone enjoyed the ride but were ready to get down towards the end.  I can't wait until next year.

Fall Break- October 2014

Wesley had three days off during October for Fall break. The boys and I headed to Dallas to see my parents for a few days.  This was my first trip with all three boys by myself.  We made it two hours before we had to stop and stretch our legs.  We stopped at the Gainesville Mall.  The mall hadn't opened yet so I didn't have to worry about loosing someone.
Babies checking out what stores the mall has.
Wesley found a playground to play on.
Back in the car and ready to go! We made it in a little less than 4 hours and everything went smoothly.
After naptime we headed outside and went on a Ranger ride down through the trees and to the creek.  The boys love to be outside so this was perfect.
On Friday morning we got up and headed to the Dallas Zoo. The first animals that we saw were the penguins.  They had one out and let the kids waddle around with them. Wes had fun waddling like a penguin.  The weather was perfect that day. Wesley loved climbing all the rocks.
They had a great giraffe and zebra area.  The giraffes came all the way up to the fence where you could touch them and feed them.
Luke loved wearing this cowboy hat the whole weekend.
How many boys does it take to help raise the seat on Wesley's bike and air up the tires?  We brought Wesley's bike with us because he is finally gaining his confidence back up after falling.  We had a good weekend but were glad to come back home and see Mark.

Kindergarten field trip

This year Wesley had his first field trip.  His Kindergarten class went to the Oklahoma City Zoo.  The kids had a little bit of time to walk around the zoo before they headed back indoor for a lesson on animals.  They got to learn a little bit about a hedgehog, snack and chameleon and then were able to pet them if they chose.
Wesley's first school bus ride.  He was very excited about riding the bus.
 Wesley petting the snack.
When it was his turn to pet the hedgehog he chose not to because it moved right about the same time he reached up to pet it.
After their class we had lunch and then the kids wanted to play at the playground for a little bit.  Once they were ready to go see the animals we only had about 45 minutes so we had to look at everything very quickly.
Here are the boys that were in our group; Jacob, Ethan, Caleb and Wesley.  I know they had a great time spending the day at the zoo.  I can't wait to see where he goes in first grade.

Oklahoma State Fair 2014

We headed to the Oklahoma State Fair this year after church.  I knew that we wouldn't be there long because the twins would want to get down and not stay in their stroller.  The first stop was animals.  Everyone enjoyed seeing all the baby pigs, goats and chickens.  After looking at all the cows we headed to find some Fair food.  Wesley and Mark had corn dogs and the babies had hotdogs.
After we had lunch we walked around and played a few games.  Wesley won a penguin; Flippy, a sword and a trumpet.  He had a lot of fun playing games but wasn't ready to ride the rides yet.
The boys watching the animals.  Next year the Fair will be a little more fun for everyone.

Sick Wesley

Wesley caught a virus at the beginning of school that ended up messing with his breathing.  He woke up on a Sunday morning complaining of his tummy hurting; but never got sick.  Thank goodness.  He laid on the couch all day and then went to school on Monday.  We he woke up on Tuesday he was having a difficult time breathing so he headed to he dr that morning. She put him on breathing treatments every 4 hours for 24 hours and then every 6 hours after that until it wasn't needed any more.
Resting on the couch playing the ipad.
Everyone enjoying an afternoon movie.
Breathing treatment at the doctors office.
So tired after resting all day.  Quick nap before dinnertime.

Fall Baseball 2014

Wesley started baseball in September.  His first game was a little chilly but they had fun. Wesley enjoys playing first base and hitting the ball.  He sees a few friends from church and school on other teams and cheers them on as well.  What a great friend.

Cross Timbers Fun Run

Wesley's school held a Fun Run fundraiser in September.  The students had to ask for donations from family and friends for each lap they ran.
Before they started to run they had a pep rally and did a few stretching exercises.  It was so hot that morning.

 Wesley's cheer team!

 Finished the race!
He ran 32 laps for his school.  He had a blast running.  Thanks to family members for donating money to help Wesley's school.

First Day of Kindergarten

August 19th was Wesley's first day of Kindergarten.  He gets to go to school where he went to pre-k which is walking distance from our home.  He was very excited to pick out his school supplies, back pack and lunch box.  He had to have a Lego backpack this year.  Wesley's teachers name is Mrs. Phillips and this is her second year to teach.
Wesley looks forward to waking up on important days because I decorate the breakfast table.  He got two new books for his first day of Kindergarten.
Mark stayed home from work that morning to help make Wesley's favorite breakfast; chocolate chip pancakes with bacon and strawberries.

Wesley found his name and had to put on a name tag before the parents left.  He had a great first day of school and was excited to go back the next day.
