16 months

Today Wesley turned 16 months old, it doesn't feel like it has been 16 months since he was born.
Wesley went to the dermatologist this week for his excema and she told us that he is getting allergies and to give him zyrtec every morning to help him. This month I decided that it was time to try and teach Wesley his colors. The color that Wesley has picked up so far is yellow. We are very proud of him he is learning so much.
Wesley loves to put his head on the ground and his bottom in the air and then wants you to tickle his belly and say "boo". Too cute!!

Wesley has enjoyed coloring since he was about 12 months. He has just started to actually scribble on the page for a few seconds and then wants to carry the crayons around.

Wesley no longer walks he runs everywhere. He has only had a few scuffed up knees so far. Since the weather is getting warmer we spend the majority of the day outside running and playing. We try to go to the park 2-3 times a week with a few of our friends.
We have really awesome parks here in Edmond and one of our favorite parks has a duck pond. Wesley loves to chase the ducks and squirrels. If we bring bread to feed the ducks he will request a piece and think about feeding it to the ducks then eat it.

A few months ago we bought Wesley stickers and he disliked them. He would scream when they would stick to his fingers, he wouldn't even put them on his shirt or pants. So he got a few packs of stickers for Easter from his Grammie and loves to put them on his pants and shirt.
This month Wesley wants a "dip dip" with every meal. He loves to dip his food in mustard, ketchup and strawberry jelly. This was his first time at trying ranch dressing.

When we leave the house to run an errand Wesley helps us give Max his treat. He runs to the pantry and gets a treat then runs to the utility room and throws it on his pillow and tells him bye bye.

Easter 2010

On Sunday morning we woke up ate breakfast and headed to church. Wesley doesn't enjoy going to the church nursery, about 30 minutes into the service we were called out to get him. After church we headed home and ate lunch. After Wes woke up from his afternoon nap his Uncle Chad and Christy came over to help Wesley find his Easter eggs. It was very windy outside so the Easter bunny hid the eggs inside. He did a great job at looking for the eggs and placing them in his basket.

The Easter bunny left a swing set for Wes.
Wes found his Easter basket on the fireplace; the bunny left bubbles, kitty cat, coloring book and swing set.

Wesley opened his eggs and found a few dollar bills. He wasn't sure to what do with it.
He dumped his basket out and then picked the eggs back up and put them in basket.
Wesley loves to swing. He could swing for hours if you would let him.
What a manly kite!! We bought a few kites to fly on Easter thinking Wesley would enjoy them. Uncle Chad and Christy came over and helped to fly the kites.
Wesley playing in the backyard.
Gammie and Papaw brought a gingerbread cookie for Wes. He made the cookie dance and walk on his tray. He enjoyed his cookie after dinner.

Weekend with Gammie and PaPaw

For Easter weekend Mark's parents came to Oklahoma to visit. They got here Thursday afternoon and we played outside with Wesley. On Friday we got up and Papaw helped Mark finish putting together the swing set, then Wesley had to get his 15 month shots so that afternoon we all just rested and played with Wes. On Saturday we all got up and went to the Zoo, we started off in the children’s part of the zoo where Wesley petted goats, watched pigs and laughed at the chickens. After a couple of hours at the zoo we were all wore out and Wesley was ready for a nap. On Sunday we all went to Easter church service then Grammy and Papaw headed home. Wesley really enjoyed seeing and playing with his grandparents.

Gammie and Papaw wanted to take a picture with Wes on the rhino but he wanted down to walk. It still turned out great!

Mommy and Wes hanging out with the gorillas.
Wes was tired of riding in his stroller, so he got out and walked the majority of the time.
The Oklahoma City Zoo has a children's portion that just opened up. They had goats out that the kids could pet. Wesley walked up to them and tried to kiss it.
Petting the goat.

Wesley got this car for Christmas and refuses to ride in it. He will climb in and out of it daily but doesnt want to be pushed, so when he gets in you take advantage of him wanting to be pushed.

Visiting Lolli and Pops

Wesley and I headed to Midland to visit Wesley's Lolli and Pops. We arrived on Thursday afternoon and were greeted by Wesley's uncles; Cody and Chad. That afternoon we were able to spend a few hours with Madison. It was such a beautiful day outside we spent the majoirty of it outside playing with rocks and in the wagon. Wesley enjoyed playing outside with Madison.
On Friday we got up and meet Cody and Madison at the park but it was very cool and windy so decided to go home and play. After Wesley went to sleep we had to decorate cookies and Madison's first birthday cake.

I wanted to take Wesley's picture in the tall grass at my parents house so I put him in it and he stood there. Wes refused to move. Once I showed him how to walk on the grass he wouldn't do it unless he was holding my hand.

Wesley woke up at 5:30 on Saturday morning, which is not like him, screaming and wouldn't go back to sleep. He was cranky throughout the whole morning and I just thought it was because there was alot of people at the house. Madison had a great turn out for her party and really enjoyed seeing everyone.

She loves to be walked around, she will be walking by herself soon.

After Madison's party Wesley took a 35 minute nap and would not stop crying so we decided to take him to an urgent care center to see if he was sick. He ended up having double ear infections again. The doctor gave him medicine and knumbing ear drops.

On Sunday we had an egg hunt with Wesley's cousin; Casen. The boys enjoyed finding the eggs and caught on very quickly. After 10 minutes or so they decided that the car eggs were more fun to push then to collect.

We had a very busy and fun weekend but were ready to get back home to see Daddy and Max.
