Spaghetti

Last night Wesley had spaghetti for the first time. He enjoyed it at first and then he really began to enjoy it as you will see. While Mark was feeding Wes, he decided to knock the spoon out of Mark's hand. He thought it was so fun to play in his food.

9 months!!!!

Wesley is changing right before our eyes. He is eating more and more table foods such as cheese, crackers, yogurt, fruit and much more. He is doing a great job at feeding himself. Wesley is a very vocal baby, talking everywhere he goes. He enjoys chasing Max around the house talking/squealing to him. You can ask Wesley if Max is barking and he will make a mumbling sound, he thinks it is pretty hilarious. He has made the "ma" sound only a few times, still working hard to get him to say that sound.
He is now an expert crawler and has started to pull up on many things such as the chair, couch and us. He has pulled up to his feet a few times, but the majority of times he is on his knees.

At his 9 month check-up Wesley only had to get one shot....the flu shot. The dr was very happy with his growth and accomplishments. Here are his stats...
weight- 22 lbs 9 oz. (81%)
length- 29 1/2 inches (81%)

Wesley decided that he wanted to crawl in the grass. Once he got on the grass, he didn't like the way it felt on his legs.

OKC State Fair

Last weekend Chad, Katie's brother, and Christy, Chad's girlfriend, came over and we went to the Oklahoma State Fair. It was raining all night and was still raining when we woke up, but we decided that we would brave the rain and go to the fair. When we got to the fairgrounds we parked the car and waited to see if the rain would stop...but it didn't so we headed out in the rain. First, we went to the car showroom and looked at all the new cars, Wesley was not to thrilled with looking at cars. Next we went and looked at the livestock and watched a few kids show their animals. They had Gypsie and Clydesdale horses, cows, potbelly pigs and lambs. After about an hour it stopped raining and we walked outside and saw a few different exhibits. Before we left we had to have fair food, yummo....funnel cakes and corndogs.

I was trying to show Wesley the cow but he was more interested in the fan.

4 days without the sun

Over the past 4 days we have not seen the sun for more than a few minutes at a time. Over the past few days it has been drizzling and raining throughout the day. Today we had to get creative so we pulled all the cushions off the couch and built a fort. Wesley was not as excited about it as we hoped, but he still played in it for a few minutes. Wesley also played the xbox for a few minutes until he got bored. His crawling skills have improved over the last few days so we have had to baby proof the house.

House update

On Saturday morning we woke up and drove to the new house. We have switched to a new lot because we didnt like the way the backyard was laid out on our first lot. Our new address is 6979 Ashley Trail. They have not been working on it as much as we would like, due to the rain. However they do have it framed and sheeted in plywood. Next they will put a roof on and begin in the inside. Here are a few pictures of the progress.

8 1/2 month update

Wesley has had a busy two weeks. He had his top two teeth come in one week apart from each other, so now he has four teeth. He now is an expert crawler. He tried to crawl before we left on vacation and had plenty of practice while we were gone. Wesley no longer wants to play in one spot with us anymore; he is all over the house. Max has to watch out or else he will get his hair pulled. We have a lot of fun times ahead of us.

Wesley talks the whole time while he crawls.

Labor Day weekend

Over the Labor Day weekend Mark and I took a short vacation to Ruidoso, NM while my parents kept Wesley. We stayed at the Inn of the Mountain Gods and it was so nice and relaxing. We arrived on Thursday afternoon and sat outside watching people play golf and walk around the lake. On Friday Mark and I went on a drive up the White Mountain to a gorgeous lookout over the mountain then in the afternoon we went horseback riding and won big at the casino that night (well I did and Mark gambled the majority of his winnings). On Saturday we got up had breakfast and tried to sign Mark up to skeet shot, but it was closed. We went on a walk around the lake and looked at different rocks. That afternoon we went to the horse races for the first time. We were not sure what we were doing, but gambled on a few horses. That night we had a nice lobster dinner and gambled (we didn’t have as good of luck but still had fun). We headed back home to see Wesley early Sunday morning.Wesley stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Cobb’s while we were on vacation. He had a fun time helping Grandpa fill up the corn in the deer feeder, ride in the Ranger, and visiting family. On Saturday Wesley's Grammy and Papaw come over to see him before they headed back to New Braunfels.

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for watching Wesley.

While we were in Midland, I went with my brother, Cody to see Madison. She has changed alot since I saw her last. She is very quiet compared to Wesley. I know that there are going to have a fun time playing together soon.
