January 2015

This year I decided to take a picture of all three boys every day.  Here are just a few of what I have taken in January.
Mark and I took down our Christmas lights while the boys were napping one Sunday.  It was in the 20's that day so I knew once Wesley woke up he would love to take Mark hot chocolate.
The temperatures were in the 40's one day so we bundled up and headed out to play for a short period of time. Evan and Luke got this new blue truck for Christmas and they love it.

One day Evan finally put his hat on and didn't want to take it off.
Luke playing in the bug tent that we have.
Wesley loves to have spiky hair, so one day when he was out of school we decide to stay in our pj's and have crazy hair.
The babies snuggling with their blanket.
Luke and Wesley were taking turns wearing their pirate hat.

I told Evan to turn and look at me so I could take his picture and this is the face I get.
This picture above happens several times a day.  Even though there are hundred of legos they want to one that the other brother has.
 Luke's creation
Wesley still loves his Darth Vader costume and dresses up often.
 Evan dressing up with Wesley.
Luke and Wesley counting bears one afternoon after school.

This was the very first picture I took for 2015.  I had taken Luke to Urgent Care because he still wasn't feeling well after several days of high fevers. Come to find out he had double ear infections.
When I try to clean the house I always have helpers.  Now that the babies have figured out that the vacuum has buttons they can push it is usually a fight to vacuum because they just want to push them over and over.
Wesley got a few Hot Wheels cars and track sets for Christmas.  He loves to race cars across the playroom and see how far they can go.

January was a pretty crazy month. I can't wait to see what February has for us.

6 years old!!

Wesley turned 6 years old on December 22nd.  We had donuts waiting for him when he woke up that morning.  He had a few gifts to open from family members. Wesley has learned so much this past year; somethings we wish he hadn't learned.  He loves to play and build with Legos.  He is also inventing a new Lego that he is so proud of.  He loves that his brothers are starting to play with him.  He is starting to read and can spell several sight words.  Wesley is full of energy and loves to play baseball. Wesley went to the doctor for his 6 year check up and the dr said he looked great.  When he was there we got his measurements he weighed 41.3 lbs and is 46.5 inches tall.

We were suppose to be driving home on his birthday from Katie's parents house but had to come home a day early so we had not planned on decorating.  Thank goodness we had decorations left over from his party a few weeks before.

That afternoon we had cupcakes after building legos.

Christmas part 2

This Christmas Wesley and I decided to make Santa cookies from scratch so during the babies nap we started making them.  Wesley loves to help in the kitchen.
We all got to decorate the cookies and they turned out perfectly.

Evan and Luke tasting the cookies.  They were not a fan.
On Christmas Eve we didn't get to go to our church service because we went to the doctor the day before and found out Luke had the flu.  All three boys were given Tamiflu to take; hopefully we don't have to do that again.  Wesley made Grinch dust at school to spread out on the lawn and we make Reindeer food the day before.

Santa's cookies
Wesley was so excited Christmas morning when he woke up.  Santa brought him an airbrush kit, tie and new socks.  Santa brought Evan and Luke a roller coaster and a few cars for their car ramp.
Evan playing with his fire truck from Santa.

Wesley got a new Kindegarten ornament from his Grammy and PaPaw.
Evan playing with his new lawn mower.
Evan trying out Wesley's new scooter.
Luke opening a present from Wesley.  They love to play with balls so Wesley bought them some for Christmas.
This Christmas was a challenge.  The babies didn't feel well and didn't want to share any of their new toys.  So this picture is perfect for how our morning went.
The day after Christmas we got a light dusting of snow.  The boys got a snow painting kit for Christmas so Wesley and Mark tested it out. The snow melted faster than they could paint, but still had a fun time.
We had a yummy lunch and everyone was feeling better a week or so later.  We can't wait to see how everyone reacts next Christmas.

Family Christmas part 1

This year Katie's parents moved to the Dallas area so we decided to have everyone meet there and celebrate Christmas a few days early.  We took Wesley out of school early on that Friday of Christmas break and headed to Dallas.  Chad and Christy live just a short drive away from Katie's parents and Cody and Anna live in Midland so it was a good drive for them.  We didn't get many pictures from the weekend, it always seems to be so crazy when everyone gets together.
On Saturday morning we got up had breakfast and opened presents.  The twins were not into opening  presents, but thankfully Wesley knew what to do so we could chase the babies around.
Wesley got several fun presents including Legos and a fossil kit.
It was fun getting to see everyone but we had to leave a day early due to Luke throwing up on Sunday afternoon.  We headed home early Sunday evening and thankfully Luke didn't get sick again.

Wesley's 6th birthday party

For Wesley's 6th birthday we decided to let him invite a few friends over for a party. He wanted to have a Lego Star Wars themed party.  The morning of the party we let him open presents from us and Grandparents so he wouldn't have so many presents to open during the party.
Wesley got a Wii from us and a Lego.  He loves to play and build with his Legos.
Wesley got Legos and a Lego Star Wars airplane kit book from his Lolli and Pops.

For his party we had juice boxes, fruit, lego cookies and Star Wars cupcakes.  Once the kids got to the house there was an R2D2 coloring sheet for them to color.
Star Wars cupcakes

We decorated the doors in the hallway and study to look like Legos.
We made light sabers for party favors out of pool noodles, Chocolate legos and a Star Wars cup.

Once the kids finished coloring we played pin the head on Darth Vader.

Wesley loved opening his gifts from his friends.  We got tons of Legos, Ninja Turtle toys, Hot Wheels and a few other fun gifts.

Every year after his party is over we release a few balloons with a letter stating that it was his birthday and Mark's contact information.  So far we haven't received anything from anyone stating that they found his balloons.  Maybe one year.
I can't believe that Wesley is already six years old.  I can't wait to see how he grows and learns over the next year.
