Laughing hysterically

Over the past week Wesley has really enjoyed helping mom and dad open the blinds every morning. On Tuesday evening Wesley and Katie were walking around closing the blinds for the night. When we got to the guest bedroom Katie closed the blind and Wesley began to laugh, so she opened and closed the blind which made him laugh hysterically.

New Car Seat

This past weekend Mark and I went and bought Wesley a new carseat. For many nights we reasearched which one was the safest, the Britax brand kept showing up as the number 1 rated carseat. Wesley seems to like his new seat. We put a mirror on the headrest infront of him so he could see himself. As soon as we get in the car the first thing he has to do is look at himself in the mirror and laugh. He will be in this seat for a very long time.

7 months

On Wednesday, July 22nd Wesley turned 7 months old. He has changed so much this past month. He is getting thicker hair and has had his second tooth come through. We were told by the dr to try and give Wesley table food when we eat dinner. So over the last few meals we have tried mashed potatoes and carrots. He did not care for the potatoes either time we tried them, but we will keep trying. We have also started Wesley on yogurt bites (while we are eatting dinner), they are freeze dried drops and we are working on him with picking up food. He babbles all the time, favorite word or babble being......da da, he can also say ba ba and ga ga.

weight: 21 lbs.

length: 28 inches

It is getting harder and harder to take a picture of Wesley, he wants to be on the move and play with his toys.

OKC Zoo

Even though it was one of the hottest weekends this summer we decided to brave the heat and take Wesley to the zoo for his first time. Wesley's grandma and great grandma were in town for the weekend and joined us for the fun. While we were there we saw lions, tigers, monkeys, giraffes and zebras. Wesley enjoyed watching and listening to the animals. As the morning passed the animals began to go inside where it was cool.
Wesley loves to watch the trees blow in the wind. Mark put him on his shoulders so he reach up and touch the leaves.

6 month photos

Mark and I wanted to get Wesley's picture taken when he turned 6 months. We researched several different photographers and decided to go with Michelle Young Photography here in Edmond. She doesn't have a studio so all of the pictures she takes are outside. There are several parks in our area that are nice, they have walking tracks, playgrounds and picnic areas. We chose a park that had a pond and water fountain for the his pictures. We thought that would make a great background.

He loved riding in the wagon.

The photographer laid a blanket down for Wesley to sit on; he decided that he needed to move the blanket and put the grass.

4th of July

Mark, Wesley and I made a trip to New Braunfels to see Mark's family over July 4th weekend. On Thursday we flew to Texas and Wesley did great. We had not seen his family since we left Texas so it was nice to spend time with them. Grant is getting so big and learning so much, Wesley really likes to spend time with his cousin. On Friday the boys went on a fly fishing excursion while the kiddos and the girls went to the San Marcos outlets. That afternoon we went swimming (after naps) Wesley had a floaty with a sun visor so he just lounged in the pool.

On the day of the 4th, we all got up and attempted to go to downtown New Braunfels and see the fourth of July parade but when we got there the parade was over. So we spent the morning walking through downtown New Braunfels looking through all the shops. That afternoon we all spent some time napping then it was back to the pool for a while. That evening we laid out blankets on the lawn and enjoyed spending time with the family and watching the fireworks.

Wesley's 1st tooth

On June 27th, Mark and I put Wesley to sleep as usual. During the night I noticed that he would cry and then go back to sleep. When we woke up the next morning I was feeding him and noticed that his lower right tooth broke through during the night. Mark and I were very excited to see his first tooth.

Wesley would only let us get one picture. You can bearly see the tooth, but I thought this was a cute picture.
