Rice Cereal

Mark and I decided that we were ready to let Wesley explore a new kind of food, rice cereal. On Friday night we finally found a bib that fit and began to feed him. At first he was not sure what to think about the new food, he would spit it back out. About half way through he began to scream because we were not feeding him fast enough. After we finished eatting Wesley was a mess so we gave him a bath, then he had his bottle and went to sleep. Hopefully this will help him sleep through the night.

Wesley thought that he could put his hands in his mouth when the spoon was not in.

3 months old

On Sunday, March 22nd Wes turned 3 months old. Time sure has flown by. Wesley now holds his head up 90 degrees when on his tummy, he is always observing his surroundings, and talks nonstop. He sleeps 5-6 hours at night then wakes up, we change his diaper and rock him back to sleep.
He is a very happy baby. He giggles and squeals all the time, he will turn his head immediately when Mark or I walk in the room. We have enjoyed watching him change over the past three months.

Trip to Midland

On Wednesday, March 18th, Wesley and I flew to Midland to see my family. It was not a very fun day for us. We woke up that morning and there was a very dense fog, so of course that stopped all planes from landing or taking off. Wes and I sat in the airport for 5 hours waiting for our plane to arrive. He did a wonderful job of sleeping and people watching; there were so many new things for him to see. Once we got on the airplane he decided he was hungry. He gulped down his bottle and took another nap. He never cried the whole time we were in the airport or air.

When we arrived in Midland, Wesley's grandparents picked us up and we went to Grandpa's job to show him off. He smiled and talked to everyone.

Wesley has several toys to play on when he comes to his grandpa's house, well maybe they are my dad's toys. He enjoyed sitting on the tractor and maybe next time the wind wont blow as bad so he can sit on the motorcycle. Maybe one day he can have his own John Deere tractor.

On Thursday we went to my favorite burrito place in Midland, Oscar's Super Burrito. Yumm-o!!! We then went and saw my brother's new baby girl, Madison LeeAnn. She is so small compared to Wesley. She was born on March 16, 2009 at 8:00 and was 6 lbs. 13 oz., 17 1/2 inches long.
Wesley- 3months; Madison- 3 days

Wes meet several new people while in Midland. He is excited to go back and visit again.

St. Patrick's Day

Wesley celebrated his first St. Patrick's Day wearing green. He really wanted Mark and I to make him a bottle full of green milk, but we decided he probably should not have food dye just yet. Enjoy

Sunday with Daddy

A few Sunday's back Wesley and Mark spent a few hours together while mom went out and helped a friend with a fashion show. Wesley slept the majority of the time. When he was not sleeping his daddy showed him all the cool tools in the garage and then they went outside and learned how to sit in the chairs.

When Wesley likes something he will stick out his tongue and make spit bubbles.
The sun was very bright that day.

Daddy is helping him sit up like a big boy.

Wesley's first car trip

Last weekend we loaded up and drove to Grammy and PaPaw's house. We left during Wesley's nap time so that he would sleep during the 3 hour drive.

Mark was able to spent time with Matt fly fishing on Saturday morning. They did not catch anything, but had a fun time.

Grammy is watching Wesley eat after we arrived.
Mark's dad bought a new riding lawn mower, so Mark and Wesley had to try it out. Of course I would not let Mark take Wes for a ride like he wanted.
Still no resemblance.
On Sunday morning Mark got up and feed Wes outside. He really liked hearing the birds, he would turn his head to try and see them.
Wesley is exhausted after playing on his mat and packing everything up to go.

On Sunday before we left Grant, Wesley's cousin, pulled him around in the wagon. We did not think Wesley would like it at first, but once Grant started to pull him Wesley really enjoyed it.

Wesley wanted to try on his dad's new boots. What is scary is that one day he will need boots this big also.
