11 Months

Only one more month until they are one. This year has gone by very quickly. Birthday planning is underway!! Both babies are cruising along the furniture but still need lots of practice and are not ready for walking yet.  They love to look at books especially books that are the touchy feely type.  They are starting to get upset with each other this month and scream at each other when they have something they want or when they get in each others way.  They are starting whole milk this month and still love ALL food.
Evan is a very serious baby.  He has started to crawl instead of army crawl.  During this month Evan's top tooth has come through and is making its way down.  Evan loves Mark; he will start crying when Mark come in the room if he doesn't come get him.
Luke is a very happy baby.  He loves his older brother and gets very upset when Wesley closes his bedroom door.   When you tell Luke "no" he thinks it is funny.  He is more independent.
Getting pictures with both babies is getting more difficult everyday.

This past month we started a renovation project with the babies bathroom.  They had three doors leading to their bathroom so we took one door out and had two pocket doors installed.  It has helped open up their bathroom and makes bath time so much easier.  During this time we made a pallet in our master bedroom for the babies to nap in. When trying to get them down for their nap they decided it was time to play tug o war with one blanket instead of laying down.  Thankfully we got them down quickly after that.

One Sunday after Church and lunch we were reading books and Luke fell over asleep.  Must have been a hard day at Church.
I heard a loud bang from upstairs but no crying so I didn't rush upstairs to check them out.  I found them in Evan's room, they had knocked the table over and were smiling when I got in their room.

Swinging

Wesley has been practicing and practicing how to swing on his own.  He started out by mastering pumping his legs once we started him out.  Then a few weeks later he was able to start and stop all by himself.  He is very proud of himself and so are we.

Easter 2014

This Easter my parent's Danny and Kay came to celebrate with us. On Saturday morning we got up and got ready to watch Wesley play soccer.  He is doing much better this season getting in there and trying to get the ball.  We planned an Easter egg hunt again this year for Wesley and his friends.  My mom found these cute pirate and space egg decorating kits at Target for Wesley to decorate eggs. He had a fun time decorating with his Pops. Once we finished the eggs we had to start preparing food for the party.

We make Easter basket cupcakes, bunny face out of fruit, bunny bait, cookies and bunny crackers.
First Easter as a family of 5.
We surprised Wesley with a bouncy house.  He had a great time jumping and playing with everyone.
Luke and Evan had a few babies over to play as well, so we had a few eggs ready for them to find.  They loved the eggs filled with beans.
Wesley and his friends waiting to start the egg hunt.

He found the golden egg.

Wesley eating one of his favorite foods; icing not the cupcake.
We woke up Easter morning and Wes was ready to see what the Easter bunny left him.  Legos of course.

Once we finished breakfast the babies opened up their baskets; books, bath toys and cars.

Next Easter will be more fun for the babies and Wesley. Can't wait.
