April Misc

April was a cold month for us.  It would warm up and then freeze again so we didn't spend as much time outside as we would have liked.  Mark had to travel to Colorado for work in April for a few days so Wesley and I headed to Stillwater to visit and play at the Wondertorium.  It is a large kids museum with a lot of hands on activities for them.
Wesley learned how to milk a cow.
 Sail a sail boat
They had a large medical area that wesley loved.
Wesley loved working on the babies that needed help.  He is going to be a great big brother.
Water area.  We will have to go back again soon.

During this year at school Wesley goes to science once a week and loves it.  The other day he asked me  if we could do a science experiment.  He loved it and asks to do the exploding experiment every day.
Adding food coloring to baking soda
adding vinegar to the baking soda.

We were able to go fishing a few times in April and Wesley caught the first fish of the season.  He was so proud.

30 week Dr visit

We made it to 30 weeks and the babies are growing away.  In just a few short weeks we could be meeting Luke and Evan!! I feel one of the babies moving all day long and the second one is under the other one facing my back so I don't feel him as much.  They both have hiccups all the time. The babies are still both head down so that means no c section as of now!

Wesley always tells me that my belly is getting bigger and bigger each day so we have been measuring it every week.  This week it measures 45 inches around.  Crazy to think how big it could get.

We went to the specialist Friday morning and found out the babies both grew over a pound each; Baby A is 4 lbs 2 oz. and baby b is 3 lbs. 10 oz.  They both had strong heartbeats as well.  The doctor said that he expects us to make it until 37 weeks or so before the babies get here.

I go back the last week of May to start non stress tests twice weekly.

This week my energy level has gone way down and I nap anytime Wesley naps.  We go back in two weeks for our next appointments.

Here is a picture of baby A and you can see that he has hair.

Baby shower

Two of Katie's sweet friends hosted a shower for us.  We are so lucky to be blessed with such generous friends and family.  We had some family members travel in from Texas to help celebrate the babies as well.
Katie's sister in laws and mom; Christy, Anna, her daughter Airyn, Katie and Kay.  So glad they came to celebrate.
Sarah and Celeste the host had everyone write a message for us to read when changing late night diapers.
Aunt Sherry, Mema, Katie and Kay.  Here is a picture of me 29 1/2 weeks along.
Mark's mom; Becky and Mark's sister; Emily.  They flew in from Texas as well.

The present table
One of my sweet friends made a scrapbook for the twins.  All I have to do is print pictures and put them inside. What a wonderful gift.

We are so lucky to have friends and family care so much about out babies to come and celebrate them. We can't wait to see them.
 Cute diaper cake.
Katie collects these and is so glad that Becky found one with twins.  We have been looking for one.

Baby Names

We have finally decided on baby names.   It was easy to come up with one name but coming up with two was challenging. We are not sure which baby will be which but will decide once we get a chance to see/hold them.  Only a few more weeks and we will get to see them!!

29 Weeks

On Tuesday I was 29 weeks along. We are happy that we have made it this far and are thankful with each week passing.  The babies are both very active and love to kick hard.  I still have my energy but come night time it has all ran out.

We had our neonatal specialist appointment on Friday and the doctor said the babies both look wonderful.  They are growing perfectly.  The technician was able to get a good picture of baby b's profile but couldn't get baby a because they are getting pretty squished.  During this ultrasound we were able to see the babies breathing, which was pretty amazing.  Apparently this is very hard to see but the babies were calm for just a few moments. Mark's mom and sister were able to come and see the babies as well.
I had my 1 hour glucose testing done two weeks ago and passed it so we are happy that I don't have to do the 3 hour test!! I need to get better at taking belly pictures.

Here is a picture of Baby B at 29 weeks.
