One Year Party

It possible couldn't be a year already? On June 7th we celebrated the babies first birthday with a party for just a few friends and family.  We got the boys a playhouse for their birthday that has a grill and water feature.  They love it so far.

Papaw and Mema came to visit from Midland.

Grant, Charlotte and Wesley drew a picture to hang on the mantle for the babies party.

We served chicken nuggets, cubed cheese, fruit and Cheetos for lunch.
All the big kids eating lunch.
 Evan and Luke's smash cake.

Present time!!! They really had no idea what was going on but sure loved all the gifts once they were out of the package.

The babies didn't dig into their cakes like we thought.  They had pictures the weekend before and loved their cake but today they didn't care for them.
Evan was a little overwhelmed with everyone watching him and laughing.
Luke on the other hand loved the attention.
Since Wesley was one or two we have let a balloon go at the end of the party with a note that has Mark's name and email address and the babies name and birthday year. We have yet to receive an email back that someone found the balloon.  This year we finally received an email!!

Happy Birthday Evan!... As you can see, your balloon found it's way to the top of my chicken pen today! Lol... Which is crazy 'cause I had been outside mowing all evening in plain site of the pen and it wasn't there. Then as I was walking by right before dark, there it was.

I'm curious just how far, and for how long that balloon traveled...

Wishing you and Evan many more Happy Birthdays to come...

The balloon had traveled 193 miles in just a few hours.  We never heard from anyone regarding Luke's balloon. We can't wait to see what this year holds for our family.

End of School program

This year Wesley attended our neighborhood school; Cross Timbers Elementary in their pre-k program. His teachers were Mrs. Hail and Mrs. Joni.  He has learned a lot this year and gained several good friends.  They had a pre-k graduation a few days before school let out for summer.  They walked in the classroom from playing outside and sang a few songs for the parents.

At the end the kids were able to toss their hats in the air.

M & M Olympics

Wesley has attended a program at Oklahoma Gold Gymnastics called Kick and Gym for almost a year.  They practice karate for the first half of the class then head to the gym to work on a few gymnastic skills.  He has enjoyed learning the beginning skills of karate.  The gymnastics company hosts a fun activity called M & M Olympics; the kids get to show their parents everything they have learned through out the year.
Wesley got to hold up their classes' sign as they walked into the gym. He was very excited about this.

They have a tall zipline that the kids got to show off their skills at the end.  Wes is climbing out of the foam pit after he dropped.
At the end of the Olympics the kids get to walk up on a platform and receive a trophy and bag of m & m's.  This is the last year that Wesley will attend this fun activity.
