Valentines Day 2015

Valentines morning the boys woke up to heart shaped bacon and pancakes along with a few goodies. Wesley got a heart full of m & m's and a dino bot and Evan and Luke got a few trains. The boys Grammy and Papaw were coming in that morning to visit for the weekend.
Wes and I made sugar cookies that morning before our family got to our house.  He still loves to help in the kitchen; especially when it is making cookies.
Valentine's afternoon Wesley, Mark and Joe went to the Monster Truck Rally.  We had Wesley take these ear muffs to this rally so of course Evan had to try them on.
When Wesley got back from the Rally he and Grammy iced cookies for dinner.  He kept "getting" icing on his fingers so he had to get it off some how.

Evan and Luke both loved their cookies.

We made chocolate covered strawberries and blueberries for dessert.
Wesley had a Valentine's party at school this year and they made this "love" canvas.  I asked Wesley to take a picture of it for me.

Snow days

In February we have had a few small snow storms that are melted away within a day or two.
For Christmas the boys got a snow painting set that Wesley likes to use.
One afternoon Mark and Wesley got home from sledding and decided that they needed to clean the drive way off. Wesley is a great helper.
We bundled everyone up with this last ice/snow storm and headed outside to play.  This was the second time this year that the babies have been out in the snow.  They did not enjoy walking in the snow, touching the snow or riding on the sled.  I took the picture from behind because of the crying that was going on in the sled.  I took Evan and Luke in quickly after that.
Of course after you play in the snow for just a few minutes you need to come in and warm up with a hot cup of hot chocolate.
Wesley got ready to go to school one morning and it was snowing/sleeting.  Before we left I caught Evan and Wesley watching it snow.
I decided that around lunchtime I needed to go get Wesley since we were getting a little more snow that I they said.  I didn't want the roads to get bad and have to get everyone out in that mess to pick up Wesley.  Once Evan and Luke went down for their nap Wesley and I played board games and he had some hot chocolate.

Our photographer had set up a few mini sessions in the snow since school was out.  I finally got in a picture with all three boys! All three boys did wonderful getting their picture taken, thank goodness the session was only 15 minutes because it was very cold. I am glad that we got out and braved the weather.

February 2015

This February has been a cold one. There have been just a few "warm" days to get outside and play.  We have a large tree in our backyard that the boys love to play under in the dirt.  Wesley is digging with his hands.
Luke enjoys tasting the dirt every once in a while.
We have watched a few movies this month because of our cold weather.
In the playroom we have a ball pit set up that the boys love to play in.
One night we had a fun sword fight and everyone was involved.
Wesley and Mark sword fighting.
The babies don't play in their tunnel often but when they do they have fun playing peek a boo together and rolling around in the tunnel.
Evan decided that the slide needed a little work done so it would be safe for everyone to slide down.
I tried to take their picture together on their 20th month day but as you see it didn't work.
Wesley has been in kindergarten for 100 days so far.  They had to dress up like they were 100 years old.  He was so excited to wear glasses and a tie to school. Next year we will paint his hair silver and maybe use a cane.
The twins got a car track on their first birthday that we get out every once in a while and Evan loves to drive cars for a long time.  Luke loves to tear it apart instead of driving cars
One Saturday in February it was in the 60's so we loaded up and headed to Tulsa to visit their zoo.  It was nice to get away and visit a different zoo.
They had viewing areas that you could walk up and get closer to the animals which was nice.

Luke and Evan having a snack.
The seals were having so much fun playing on this island.
Wesley driving the babies around in a boat.
After lunch we got out and played at the park before we started to look at the remaining animals. They had a train that the boys enjoyed playing in.

The last week in February Wesley got to be the star student in his class.  He had to fill out this poster "All About Me" and then they get to bring their favorite food to share with the class.  We brought yummy sugar cookies with icing.
We have had a busy February staying inside.  We hope March brings us warmer weather and healthy kids.
