Halloween Party

This week Wesley went to a neighbors house for a Halloween party; and had a fun time playing with his friends.  They had snacks, made a craft and played a game.

Pumpkin carving

Today was super windy outside so we decided it was a perfect time to carve a pumpkin.  Wesley painted a pumpkin while Mark prepared the pumpkin to cut it.

 Cutting the top off.
Looking to see what was in the pumpkin.
He didn't keep his hand in there long, he didn't like the slimy feeling on his hand.

 Picture after it's all finished.
He requested that Katie sits in his lap just like he sat in Daddy's.

Gymnastics

Wesley started gymnastics in September and LOVES it.  At first he didn't like to do a few of the activities, but he soon learned that they were very fun.  Here are a few pictures of him having fun!

September misc.

September is color purple at Wesley's school, so for show and tell he took a purple car.

I told Wesley he could go out and play in the rain one afternoon, he decided that he wanted to play baseball.  He is getting really good at hitting the ball.

At the end of September we headed to New Braunfels for Mark's dad's retirement party.  Wesley was so excited to see his cousins; Charlotte and Grant.  On Friday Mark and his dad headed to Austin to pick up his Grandpa; Pa from the airport.  Wesley and I headed to the park while they were gone.

The kids loved running around the house shooting each other with these dart guns.  Grammy and Papa will find the darts for many months.
Sword fighting was a hit as well.
Wes playing at the park.
Charlotte loved riding around in the jeep with Wesley.  He was happy to drive her around as well.

1st day of 3's Preschool

Wesley started 3's preschool through the church at the end of the August.  He wakes up almost every morning asking if he can go to school that day.  He has a wonderful teacher this year.  Instead of napping in the afternoons he learns science on one day and art on the other.  This will be Wesley's last year attend school through our church.

Visiting Lolli and Pops

In August Wesley and I went to Midland for a few days to spend Lolli's birthday with her. This time around we didn't take many pictures just let them play.  On Saturday we got up and took Madi and Wesley to paint pottery then headed back to the house to play.
They are drilling a well on some land behind my parents house, so we took the kids out there to get a cute picture of them.  They had fun being silly.

It was so hot that weekend, so the kids enjoyed playing in the pool.

Madison had to leave early on Sunday, so Wesley and Pops had a lawn mower/pink jeep race down the drive way.

Children's Safety Village

Today we visited the Safety Village for kids.  The class is led by two firemen and they go over how to handle situations they run in to like fire, water and bike.  Wes sat through the whole 1 hour long class and did a great job listening.
When the class is over the kids get to go outside to a kid -sized town, with a fire station, police station, bank, street lights and much more.

Listening to the fireman talk about gun safety.
Water safety
They also had bikes for the kids to ride around the town.

This will be something that we have to do every year.
