Wesley's 6th birthday party

For Wesley's 6th birthday we decided to let him invite a few friends over for a party. He wanted to have a Lego Star Wars themed party.  The morning of the party we let him open presents from us and Grandparents so he wouldn't have so many presents to open during the party.
Wesley got a Wii from us and a Lego.  He loves to play and build with his Legos.
Wesley got Legos and a Lego Star Wars airplane kit book from his Lolli and Pops.

For his party we had juice boxes, fruit, lego cookies and Star Wars cupcakes.  Once the kids got to the house there was an R2D2 coloring sheet for them to color.

We decorated the doors in the hallway and study to look like Legos.
We made light sabers for party favors out of pool noodles, Chocolate legos and a Star Wars cup.

Once the kids finished coloring we played pin the head on Darth Vader.

Wesley loved opening his gifts from his friends.  We got tons of Legos, Ninja Turtle toys, Hot Wheels and a few other fun gifts.

Every year after his party is over we release a few balloons with a letter stating that it was his birthday and Mark's contact information.  So far we haven't received anything from anyone stating that they found his balloons.  Maybe one year.
I can't believe that Wesley is already six years old.  I can't wait to see how he grows and learns over the next year.

MOMS Club Christmas party

The MOMS Club had a Christmas party this year.  We had yummy food, presents and Santa. The babies talking to each other while eating their donuts.

Santa walked around the room for a little while.  Evan and Luke didn't walk up to see him but they also were not scared of him either.  I put them on his lap and they didn't cry but they also didn't want to stay in his lap.
Evan playing cars with the other boys at the party.
Evan and Luke liked this snack machine.  They walked over and played with it numerous times.

Christmas parade

Our city has a parade every Christmas where cars are decorated with Christmas lights.  This year we decided to go even though it was pretty chilly outside.

We had to arrive early to get a spot to watch the parade so we stopped by the check out this shop that makes blown glass.  Wesley had the perfect seat on Mark's shoulders.  The boys enjoyed watching the fire trucks and dogs.

Thanksgiving 2014

This Thanksgiving we headed to Mark's parents house in New Braunfels, Texas.  This is a very long drive to make with three kids.  Thankfully we are blessed with wonderful travelers and a TV in the car! Mark's sister and her family came as well.  Wesley was so excited to see his cousins.  On Thanksgiving morning we got up bundled up the kids and headed to the park.
Charlotte loved helping Luke climb up the stairs on the firetruck.
Evan playing in the firetruck. We had a yummy Thanksgiving lunch made by Mark's mom.
On Friday the kids put on a parade.  They made costumes and had flags to wave.

We put up the swing for the babies and they loved to swing.
We took a walk down to the pond one afternoon.  The big kids shoot rocks into the pond.
Friday night we celebrated Wesley's birthday since his cousins couldn't be here for his party.  Grammy made her yummy confetti cake and we opened presents.  Wesley got a Darth Vader pillow, lego, laser tag game, Star Wars coloring book and money.  We had a wonderful time visiting with family.

18 months old

The twins turned 18 months on December 8th.  It doesn't feel like they are already a year and half. They have changed so much since I blogged last time.  They now run not walk wherever they go.  They talk all the time.  Evan and Luke love to play outside but it has been chilly here lately so we have had to stay inside. They have doubled the amount of teeth they have.  Evan has 9 teeth and Luke has 10 teeth.  Evan and Luke can say; ba- ball, hewo- hello, bye, ma- max, go, hi, momma, dadda, shos- shoes, a da- again, mo- more. They know where their hair is and mouth. They had their 18 month checkout and the doctor said they look great and are right on track.  Evan is 24.1 lbs and 31 1/2 inches long, Luke is 22.9 lbs and 31 inches long.
Luke and Evan have a jack and jill bathroom that has sliding bathroom doors.  They love to open and close the doors and play peek a boo with each other.
 Evan playing with a toy.
We have a ball pit in the playroom and the babies and Wes love to fall into the pit and kick the balls.
During the day Evan and Luke get to play in the pantry.  They found my box of cookie cutters and decided to emtyt they box and kick and push them all over the pantry, kitchen and dining room.

Halloween 2014

This Halloween was a cold Halloween. We ordered pizza in and then headed out to go trick or treating around 6:30. The babies dressed up but were in their stroller the whole time, we didn't want to chase them around. Wesley had a fun time walking up and trick or treating at all the different house.

Luke and Evan dressed and ready to get some candy.
Darth Vader, Buzz and Woody.  It is very hard to get a picture with all three boys.
Darth ready to head out and trick or treat.
Darth Vader starting out at our neighbors house.
The babies were not happy that they were in the stroller so they got a sucker; maybe two that night.

Wesley had a great time trick or treating this year.  I can't wait to see what it will be like next year.

Storybook Forest

We headed to StoryBook Forest again this year. My Mom was in town so we took advantage of having another set of hands.  In order to not wait in the long car line to get in you have to arrive early, so we arrived 20 minutes early and chased the kids around.
It was just about time for the gates to open so we decided to take a family pictures.  They babies didn't want anything to do with that.
Wesley chose to be Darth Vader this year.
 Luke was Woody.
 Evan was Buzz Lightyear.
Woody and Buzz collecting their candy.
Luke realized that his candy bucket had yummy treats inside.  The babies walked for a while but shortly after they wanted to walk their own way.  We found yummy suckers for them to eat so we could carry them without a fight.

 Darth Vader and Humpty Dumpty

When you have walk through and trick or treat with the story book characters you can head out for a hay ride and play games.  Everyone enjoyed the ride but were ready to get down towards the end.  I can't wait until next year.
