We celebrated Thanksgiving at Katie's parents house this year. Mostly all of Katie's family ate Thanksgiving lunch with us. We had all the usual fixings and some yummy desserts.

Trip to Midland

Wesley and I left on the Sunday before Thanksgiving to Midland to spend time with my family. Wesley had a fun time playing in the dirt while his Grandpa cleaned out his garden. We were able to spend a few afternoons with Madison, Wesley's cousin. He enjoyed playing with her, but she didnt like that he was kind of rough. We spent a few afternoons playing with great grandparents and family. Wes and I enjoyed our 9 day stay in Midland.

11 months

The last month has flown by so fast, we can't believe in one month Wesley will be one year old. Over the past month Wesley has changed/learned so much (yes I know this every month). He is now 31 inches long and 23 lbs.


Here are a few things he learned new this month...


* He points at what he wants and sometimes grunts while pointing.


*He will push off the couch or chairs and stands with hands in the air.


* He takes the stars off of his star stacker and places them back on.


* He stacks wooden blocks on top of each other.


* He loves to read books. He will push a book over to you , crawl in your lap and have you read over and over again. We are so glad that he enjoys reading.

*He enjoys playing peek a boo with a blanket or whatever is around. If he doesnt have a blanket he will turn his head to the side and then turn back to look at you.

House Update

Today we drove out to the house to see the progress that was made over the last few weeks. All the interior painting was done, they started installing light fixtures, all tile is in, and they have appliances in the garage ready to be installed. They have moved our move in date up two weeks to January 5th.

Sunday afternoon at the park

It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon so we loaded up and went to the park. After we feed the squirrels and ducks we walked to the park. Wesley enjoys sliding down the slide and swinging. Here are a few pictures of our day.

Happy Halloween 2009

We had a fun Halloween this year, it was Wesley's first Halloween. We looked for costumes for a few weeks and decided on a Monkey. He was an adorable monkey, well for the few minutes he let us dress him up. We put his costume on and for the first minute or so he didn't get upset, but after that he wanted to costume off. Wesley enjoyed passing out candy to the trick-or-treaters.
Wes loves banana's so he was excited when he got to hold one.

Pumpkin Carving 2009

One night we decided to carve a pumpkin for Halloween. Mark chose, Welcome, as our design to carve. When Mark cut the top of the pumpkin we let Wesley feel the insides and he didn't know what to think when he stuck his hand in the pumpkin. It took him a few minutes before he actually grabbed the insides. When Mark finished carving the pumpkin the "c" feel off, so he decided to carve a jack o lantern out of the other side. We had a fun time letting Wesley play in the pumpkin even though the carving didn't turn out the way we wanted.
