Christmas 2013

This year we had Christmas early with Katie's side of the family. Chad and Christy hosted lunch this time.  We had yummy beef tenderloin, salad, asparagus corn and potatoes.  She also made a yummy homemade cheesecake.
Evan and Luke waiting to open presents after lunch.
Wesley was so excited that he got a set of wine glasses from his Aunt Christy and Uncle Chad.

Luke and Evan's Grandma; Mema bought them these cute hats.  They didn't mind them for a minute or so then wanted them off.

A few days before Christmas we made our annual gingerbread house.  When Mark and Wesley opened the box they found that all the sides to the house were broken.  So they improvised and it turned out great.  Wesley loves to decorate these because he sneaks bites of the candy here and there.

Wesley's Pre-K class had a holiday party this year.  They sang a few songs, gave their teacher gifts and had a few snacks.

Christmas Eve morning we got the babies down and started making cookies for Santa.  We made homemade sugar cookies and then let Wesley ice them.  Wesley loves to cook in the kitchen so he was so excited when we started using the big mixer.

Grammy and Papa came over around noon that day.

Wesley loved decorating the cookies.  He would accidentally get icing on his fingers so that he could lick it off.
This was Santa's cookie.  They made it extra big so he would have enough to eat.
We left the babies with Grammy and Papa and headed to Christmas Eve Church service that afternoon.  When we got back and had dinner it was time to get the reindeer food scattered on the front lawn.
Evan and I watched from inside as Wesley put out his reindeer food.
Wesley gathered Santa's cookies and celery for the reindeer and had to taste Santa's milk before he headed off to bed.

Wesley was soo excited that Christmas morning was finally here.  Once we got all the presents distributed to everyone he had to be the first to open a present.  Santa brought Wesley a beam box; which is a gaming system for the Transformer Rescue bots.

Santa brought the twin a car to play in and they both love it.

Wow what a busy day.  We are very blessed to have such a great family.  Can't wait to see what the new year has in store for us.
