February Happenings

The month of February has been busy for us. We have painted a few rooms in our house, played at the park when the weather was nice, and played a lot inside due to our weather.

Wesley got a pirate dress up costume for Christmas and has really enjoyed running through the house with his sword and hat.

We hosted a movie day with our Mom's friends. Connor was a very sweet friend and shared his blanket with Wesley. Everyone brought a yummy breakfast dish and then we watched Thomas.

We hosted a Valentine's Party at our neighborhood clubhouse with our Mom's club. We had several fun crafts to make and lots of goodies to eat. I only was able to get one picture.

We decided to start cutting Wesley's hair at home. He hates to get his haircut, so we thought this might help. Katie cut Mark's hair first then it was Wesley's turn. At first he fought us while, but then got a sucker like his Daddy and did a wonderful job.
He also watched Mickey Mouse while getting his hair cut.

We visited the Fire Fighter Museum in Oklahoma City with our Mom's club. I thought the kids could maybe sit on the fire trucks to get a few pictures but they were not allowed to sit or stand on them. Wesley was very disappointed that he couldn't sit on them, he talked about sitting on them the whole drive there.

A few days this month we had a few days where the temperatures were in the 60's and 70's so we took advantage of it and went to the duck pond to feed the ducks and to the zoo. Wesley loves visiting the zoo to see the seals. He loves to stand on the window ledge and watch the seals swim right in front of him.

February snow storm's

In the month of February we had two winter snow storms within two weeks. We were not sure what to think, the news told us that this storm would be very similar to last years Christmas Eve storm; blizzard!! The winds blowing very hard and then temps got below zero. It took the snow a very long time to melt due to the temperatures. Mark's work closed a few days for both snow storm so he stayed home with us and had fun.

Wesley wanted to go out and play in the snow so when the winds finally died down we bundled him up and let him play. He would get so frustrated when he would sink in the snow and get stuck.
He wasn't happy when he fell in the snow, but we had to get a picture before we could get him up.
After the first snow storm Wesley and Mark got out in the back yard and started to build a snowman. Wesley wasn't very interested in helping Mark build the snowman so he walked around and crunched the snow.

I guess we should probably buy a sled for next winter so we have one and are ready for the next snow storm.

January Randomness

The month of January flew by quickly. We had pretty cold temperatures and a few small snow storms. Wesley and Katie stayed inside a lot because Wesley was sick a lot during the month.

Wesley found these ear protectors in our closet one day and loves to put them on and wear them everywhere.
On January 24th Katie celebrated her 28th birthday. We meet Mark for lunch then had a yummy cupcake after dinner.
