Baby shower

Two of Katie's sweet friends hosted a shower for us.  We are so lucky to be blessed with such generous friends and family.  We had some family members travel in from Texas to help celebrate the babies as well.
Katie's sister in laws and mom; Christy, Anna, her daughter Airyn, Katie and Kay.  So glad they came to celebrate.
Sarah and Celeste the host had everyone write a message for us to read when changing late night diapers.
Aunt Sherry, Mema, Katie and Kay.  Here is a picture of me 29 1/2 weeks along.
Mark's mom; Becky and Mark's sister; Emily.  They flew in from Texas as well.
Celeste and Sarah- hosts.  Thanks ladies yall did a wonderful job.

One of my sweet friends made a scrapbook for the twins.  All I have to do is print pictures and put them inside. What a wonderful gift.

 Cute diaper cake.
Katie collects these and is so glad that Becky found one with twins.  We have been looking for one.

Baby Names

We have finally decided on baby names.   It was easy to come up with one name but coming up with two was challenging. We are not sure which baby will be which but will decide once we get a chance to see/hold them.  Only a few more weeks and we will get to see them!!

29 Weeks

On Tuesday I was 29 weeks along. We are happy that we have made it this far and are thankful with each week passing.  The babies are both very active and love to kick hard.  I still have my energy but come night time it has all ran out.

We had our neonatal specialist appointment on Friday and the doctor said the babies both look wonderful.  They are growing perfectly.  The technician was able to get a good picture of baby b's profile but couldn't get baby a because they are getting pretty squished.  During this ultrasound we were able to see the babies breathing, which was pretty amazing.  Apparently this is very hard to see but the babies were calm for just a few moments. Mark's mom and sister were able to come and see the babies as well.
I had my 1 hour glucose testing done two weeks ago and passed it so we are happy that I don't have to do the 3 hour test!! I need to get better at taking belly pictures.

Here is a picture of Baby B at 29 weeks.

Easter 2013

This Easter Mark's parents came in town to help celebrate with us.  We had a very busy Saturday coloring eggs, Easter egg hunting and working around the house.
Wesley had a fun time coloring eggs with Mark and Grammy.
Joe decided that it would be a good idea to use the left over egg coloring solution to color Max.  We compromised and just painted a lighting bolt on Max.  Max was not happy with this decision and is still dyed to this date.
Wes had a lot of friends over (12) to help hunt eggs that the bunny left. It had rained the day/night before so it was pretty muddy outside but the kids had fun.

Ready set go!!

Wesley checking out his eggs.  All the chocolate ended up melting.
The Easter bunny made a stop by on Sunday morning bringing Wesley his last two transformers and a few chocolate goodies.

We had a great Easter with Joe and Becky and can't wait for them to come back again.

Snow

Wesley has been waiting all winter for it to snow.  He went to school on Tuesday when it was raining and came home to a yard covered in snow.  He was so excited when I picked him up he quickly got bundled up and headed out.  He wanted to drive his ranger in the snow but the tires spun and wouldn't go anywhere.  He ran around chasing Max and throwing snowballs at him.  He thought that was absolutely hilarious.

Mom see my snowball I am going to throw at Max.

Of course he found a rain puddle to jump in.

I told Wesley that he had to wait until his Dad got home to make a snowman.  Had just a few minutes to make one before it was too dark.

Making changes

A few weeks ago we started to clear out the study and change it to the new playroom.  Wesley helped us paint for a while then Mark finished up painting. The new playroom is much smaller than the old one was but it seems to work just fine.

We needed the old playroom set up as the babies nursery.  We got new cribs and dressers delivered a few weeks back and of course Wesley was there to help assemble. Hope to have the babies nursery complete in the next few weeks.

19 weeks

This morning we went for our 19 week check up with the neonatal specialist. Both babies look great; Baby A weighs 9 oz. and heart rate is 153, Baby B weighs 11 oz. with a heart rate of 152.  Baby B seems to be more active than Baby A.  This appointment they were able to get a good view of both babies hearts and said they looked perfect. The Dr said that he saw no signs of the twin to twin, which we are very happy about. I am able to feel kicks every once in a while but hope Mark and Wesley can feel them soon.  Here are a few pictures to leave you with.  We go back in two weeks to see the specialist again.

This is baby A's profile.  If you look to the right of his face you can see baby B's leg.  We tried to get a picture with both babies both they were too active.

We hope to have names finalized pretty soon!
