For the Houston guys

This blog is for the Houston guys at HighMount. Mark talked with them today, Thursday, and they said that they liked looking at the blog. They told him that we needed to give Wesley a foehawk. So after bathtime tonight Mark gave Wesley a foehawk.

Swinging

On Monday afternoon Wesley didnt have a very long nap. I tried to get him back to sleep throughout the afternoon but he didnt want to nap. When Mark got home that night from work we ate our dinner and went outside to swing. Wesley loves to swing in his new swing. He will listen to the dog next door bark and watch the leaves blow in the wind. Wesley ended up getting so relaxed that he fell asleep. Mark pushed him a few minutes more then took him out and put him in his bed. Oh the life of a baby.

Afternoon at the pond

Today we wanted to get out of the house and do something fun. It was a nice day to do somthing outside. Mark was told by a few co-workers that there is a pond by his work where you can go and fish. Mark has wanted to visit this pond and practice his fly fishing, so we decided to go. Wesley played on his blanket and watched the geese while Mark fly fished.

8 Months

Today, Wesley turned 8 months old. He is in the beginning stage of crawling. He will get on his hands and knees and rock back and forth then fall and get back up again. He can go from a sitting position to a crawling position within seconds. Wesley is starting to get really table food, and he loves bananas and peaches. He is getting better at picking up his table food. He also likes to drink out of our cup instead of his. He loves to swing in his swing outside. When we walk by the backdoor he begins to cry if we don't go outside to play. Over the past few weeks we've been trying to take away Wesley's pacifer. It is not as hard as we heard it was going to be. He may use it once every few days. He is now sleeping from 8:00 p.m. until 5:45 a.m.

Weight- 21 1/2 lbs.

Height- 28 1/2 inches

It has rained here in Oklahoma a few times a week for the past two weeks. Wesley enjoyed playing in the rain and splashing the water on himself.

Uncle Chad and Christy

This past weekend Wesley's Uncle Chad and his girlfriend came by to visit. Chad has not seen Wesley since we moved to Oklahoma. They brought their dog, Boss, so Max could have a friend to play. Here are a few pictures for our night.

New swing

On Sunday we went and bought Wes a new swing to hang outside in the tree. Wesley has been in a swing a few times prior to this and loved it. He just laid his head back and relaxed while we pushed him.

Oklahoma City Zoo

Mark's company had a family picnic at the Oklahoma City Zoo on Thursday, August 6th. We had hamburgers and hotdogs for lunch then walked around the zoo looking at the animals. It was extremely hot by early afternoon so we only stayed a few hours.

New camera

Mark and I have researched camera's for a few weeks and decided on the Nikon D60. It takes fast pictures, which we need since Wesley moves so fast.
